'LunarCedarMarket started with a clear vision: to share true Neapolitan pizza with New York. Established by the Bianchi family in 1987, our eatery opened as a cozy family venture, built on recipes passed down for generations.
Luca Bianchi, our founder, honed her pizza craft while traveling across Italy, learning from master pizzaiolos in Naples—the cradle of pizza. After returning to the UK, she set out to recreate the spirit of real Italian pizza using time-tested techniques and top-tier ingredients.
What began as a tiny 12-seat spot has grown into a neighborhood favorite, yet our dedication to excellence and authenticity has never changed. We still rely on wood-fired methods, prepare fresh dough every day, and source the finest ingredients available.
Today, 'LunarCedarMarket is still family-run, with the second generation of the Bianchi family guiding our devoted team. While we’ve welcomed a few modern touches, our core remains unchanged: making delicious, genuine pizza that brings people together.
